Congratulations to Kanata school members and their families who raised $500.00 for the "Adopt a Family" program of the Kanata Food Cupboard. The Kanata Food Cupboard is a non-profit charitable organization, with any profits or assets realized from its operation being used for the sole purpose of promoting its objectives. Its primary mission is to collect and distribute food products to self-identifying individuals requiring emergency food service.

Services are provided to all residents of the community, regardless of race, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, income or religion. The organization is non-sectarian, non-denominational, non-partisan, working for the best interests of its members and clients.

The money was used to provide a family with food, all the fixings for a Christmas dinner and gifts. Members also provided additional canned goods and non-perishable food items for the Kanata Food Cupboard's main collection program.
