Developing Leaders on the Mat
The Douvris Leadership Program is an advanced development track for students who demonstrate dedication, character, and a desire to lead. Participants go beyond technical training to develop mentorship skills, teaching ability, and the discipline required to lead by example — in the dojo and in life.
Program Details
What the Leadership Program Develops
The program runs alongside regular martial arts training and adds structured modules in mentorship, responsibility, and community service. Participants assist in teaching younger students, lead warm-ups and demonstrations, and take on progressive responsibilities within the dojo.
Students in the Leadership Program are held to a higher standard of conduct, attendance, and contribution. In return, they gain access to advanced training, mentorship from senior instructors, and recognition within the Douvris community. Many of our current dojo owners and senior instructors started as Leadership Program participants.
