Douvris Pink Army: Wear a Pink Belt for Breast Cancer Canada — October 1 to 31

Douvris Pink Army: Wear a Pink Belt for Breast Cancer Canada — October 1 to 31

For one month a year, the ranks on the dojo floor stop mattering. White, orange, green, brown, black — every one of them gets swapped for pink.

The Douvris Pink Army is back. Grab a pink belt with a minimum donation of $20, wear it to class any time between October 1 and October 31, and every dollar raised goes to Breast Cancer Canada for life-saving breast cancer research.

How It Works

  1. Make a minimum donation of $20 at your Douvris dojo.
  2. Take your pink belt.
  3. Wear it to class all month long, October 1 to 31.

That is the whole process. No sign-up sheet, no minimum rank, no extra class to attend. If you train with us in October, you can be part of it.

Where the Money Goes

All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Canada, which funds breast cancer research in this country. Nothing is held back for belts, printing or admin. The $20 minimum is a floor, not a ceiling, and plenty of families go past it.

Why We Do It

Ask around the dojo and you will not have to go far before someone knows a name. A mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a friend, a fellow student. That is the honest reason this keeps coming back every October.

It is also a good lesson for the kids. A belt is something you earn here, and for one month we hand out one you do not have to earn — you just have to give something up for someone else. Most of them understand that faster than the adults expect.

Join the Pink Army

Ask at the front desk at your next class and you can be wearing pink on day one. Parents, siblings and friends can donate too, whether or not they train with us.

October 1 to 31. One belt, one colour, one dojo.
